Another Highly addictive game from Rockstar and very worthy of your gameing collection.
For those of you who dont know what Manhunt is all about, here it is; you play James Earl Cash, a convicted murderer who's up for death-row. However the next time he wakes up after what he thaught was the last few seconds of his life, he hears a voice of a man, saying "You've got a sencond chance, another throw at the dice". He calls himself the director, basically a snuff moviemaker who, throughout the game, makes you kill gangs to get out of this nightmare alive, guiding you by talking to you through an ear-piece.
The aim of the game is simple, the more grusome your kills are, the greater your score, its as simple as that.
So you can understand why people would kick off about the nature of this game, but hasnt anyone noticed that most people who play these violent games and take it to the next level by being copycats, are people who arent even old enough to play them. So who is to blame? Personally, I dont think its the game. They were distributed and were legitimately given an '18' certificate. So why should anyone complain? People know that it contains strong and sadistic violence, SO DONT BUY IT FOR KIDS OR SELL IT TO KIDS WHO ARE TOO NAIVE, INFLUENTIAL OR YOUNG!
I mean, Iv been playing nthis game and completed it god knows how many times, but doesnt wanna make me wanna go out and kill. Thats pretty much the same for 99.9% of my friends.
To be honest, the people who go on and complain about these games are jst getting more credit and popularity, making people wanna play them more, the same is happeining with Manhunt 2, and even happened during the 'Video Nasty' era of the 70's and 80's.
Anyway, addictive and curiously enjoyable game.
Pros:
- OTT violence.
- Tense gameplay as you are the hunter.
- Eerie gameplay and storyline that keeps the shocks coming.
Cons:
- OTT violence that lets people bitch about it.
- Could be more diverse with its gameplay and moves.
