Manhunt is a tough game to play. On one hand, it’s a challenging test of skill that’s frequently frustrating and often rewarding. On the other, it’s loaded with violent imagery as it shows the world as a dark, evil, rotten place where almost no one gets out alive. Gameplay of this game is cool. You play as James Earl Cash, a man given a death-sentence punishment by “the director,” an unseen nemesis who communicates via an earpiece (you could use a headset for more clear fun). The only way for Cash to earn freedom from this dark, evil world is to listen the instruction of "the director". You begin with handheld weapons like glass shards, wire, plastic bags, e.t.c. and acquire more effective weapons as you progress the game. Stealth is a key feature of the game and plays a vital role in scoring a successful kill. You can use cans, bottles, and cut-down heads of enemies to lure other enemies to look in the opposite direction as you sneak in from behind and kill them. There is also a great range of melee and firearm weapons to enjoy. As you show more stealth and stay long behind a victim before striking with holding melee weapon (showing a color changing target as you stay longer, Green-Yellow-Red), its result in more brutal, feral, wild, and cruel execution thats all shows in a movie kinda scene. This is all very gory, grisly, and absolutely not for kids or anyone with a weak stomach as people, thats what you have to do in Manhunt. Overall gameplay is hard and need a little practice to be a master. Graphics of the game is Awesome. The motion capture work is excellent. Everything from in-game play to the cutscenes show an incredible realism in human movement and response. It is one of the smoothest looking and realistic looking game of Rockstar. The game takes place all in one night, so unless you are inside under lights, but always entire game seems dark, which masks out the simplistic texture work. Rockstar North did an excellent job with its color palette using minor effects to create a great sense of death and decay. Sound works in Manhunt is important and expertly done. The AI work is so good, it is just fun to experiment to see gang members, what they are doing in different situations. The gangs are capable of hundreds of responses to Cash and one another, and they often talk to themselves, which is usually far more entertaining to hear. They say crazy things (most of the time strong language), call you names and taunt you. The voice acting in Manhunt is so damn good. The music is also excellent. Replay Value of the game is also good but not very efficient but you could play it again and again if you like really brutal games like this one. Manhunt is an extremely violent, most brutal game and should not be seen or play by young kids. That is why this game is rated " M " for mature, more likely a R-rated movie. Sometime Manhunt feels frustrating but overall, Manhunt is a highly polished strategy game of hide-and-seek, kill-or-be-killed kind of gameplay, awesome graphics, good-as-dead sound and pretty handy replay value. If you looking for a dark, brutal, wild and challenging game, Manhunt completely fits your need and you should buy or at least rent this game.
