One of the best hand-held games I have played. Ever.

I am not a fan of RPG's, yet this is one of the best games I have played and the best GBA game I own. The story is...well intersting and the visuals are terrific and the unique gameplay will have you playing for hours on end. The gamplay is your standard turn based battles and roaming around the map for missions. With a few exceptions. You can time your attack for more damage and also time a counter attack to prevent damage from an enemy. The characters do little to encourage gameplay as you are annoyed by these new enemies and allies. But what does encourage gameplay is that you are pretty much attached to you significant other. In this position you can perform various attacks by using the other for a boost in jump or achieving underground items. Graphics are great. The candy color mountains as well as the ice-covered Joke's End are a great environment that you just don't want to leave. Yet the map is quite small and you find yourself in the boring desert often. Sound isn't real big here. Mostly just the Italian sound bites of Mario and Luigi. This is diappointing because you could just play the game with no sound and miss nothing Buy this game for your GBA. End of story, it's a great game and one of the best for the GBA.
