First off, I am a big fan of the first game. I loved it, the constant waggle didn't bother me all that much, I felt that it was diverse enough to make it entertaining.

This game had a chance to be great, but falls short. In my opinion it does for a few reasons.

the bad:
-The balance board support makes most of the downhill events feel the same.
-Can't use balance board against a remote player
-Ice skating is very limited in what you can do, follow a set course
-missing some great events, ie biathlon, cross country ski

the good
-incorporates balance board nicely
-controls feel nice, responsive
-keeps charm of first game, all age access, great multi-player game
-Dream events feel like a cool combination of Mario Kart meets Xtreme Sports

Overall it is still a very fun game, with winter sports, you are a little limited on variety in my opinion. The dream events are very cool, but it doesn't quite feel as fulfilling as racing/swimming/rowing in the Summer Olympics.

Still a great party game though!
