Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour is Nintendo's second attempt at a golf game using the Mario franchise. The first was a classic for the N64, and the second definitely does not let down. Unfortunately there are no extreme differences between the two game. Toadstool Tour adds a few more mini-games and training tutorials, but the only major difference is the ability to "upgrade" your characters in the Character Match mode. Once you defeat a character, they will be able to have a "star" that enables them to hit the ball much further, though losing control at the same time. Multi-player is extremely fun, and four people can play even if you only have one controller. For anyone who has not played a golf game, give this a try--I doubt you will be disappointed. And for anyone who loved the original, but has yet to play Toadstool Tour--you will also not be disappointed. This is a great update to an older game for the current generation of systems.
