Mario Kart 64 is a very fun game despite how simple it is and how quickly you may finish the single player aspect. The average gamer wont take too long in getting through the entire game but the real draw is its multiplayer which rivals Mario Party, Goldeneye, and Perfect Dark on the N64. Battle Mode and versus mode are both fun and with four players you could go on for hours and hours before you got sick of playing. Perhaps it doesnt advance anything far past the SNES version but it is still a game worth owning for all N64 owners. The tracks are all very well-designed as well and although some are kind of stupid or frustrating that is to be expected and its balanced out by the good parts. The items are well balanced and there is a lot of strategy involved once you really learn the game.
