Still one of the best racing games

If you are a mario fan or just a racing fan this is a most have for N64. This game excels in the most important aspect of gaming. It is just plain fun. You can play this game a million times and still find new things to do. The graphics are very good for a N64 game, of course now a days it wouldn't be very good, and the sounds are classic mario sounds. You get to choose from 8 of your favorite mario characters and have them race over a dozen different tracks...16 to be exact. If you get all the trophies you get 16 new tracks...well it's the old tracks just reversed which is still fun. You can throw bananas, shells, and hit players with lightning bolts. If you are tired of racing you can get a couple of your friends and battle. the multiplayer isn't very strong. You will have more fun playing by yourself and trying to beat your records but when you play with one other person you can have loads of fun. This was an instant classic and a must have for any N64 collector.
