I'll make this short and sweet. This game is as perfect as you remember, the thing is since then the bar has been raised. Still this game holds up. Graphics are what you'd expect for an N64 game, yet the simple style means they dont detract from gameplay. Still after Mario Kart DS, every other edition comes up short. Id seriously settle for Mario Kart DS 2 that was nothing but Mario Kart 64 redone for the ds, with a few unlockables and all the Karts and Racers from the first. The game is fun as is, the blue shell homes in on numero uno, meaning the droping out of first to let you buddy take the hit still works, unlike in Mario Kart DS where it homes in on whoever was first when it was fired. If you seriously need to read this dont download it, youll nitpick the graphics. This is Kart straight up.
