A simple but okay Mario Kart game.
There is a Grand Prix mode, ranging from 50cc to 150cc levels. There are 16 courses to choose from (12 when you first play the game.) Also there are battle modes for you to play on, starting with 4 stages (you will earn more once you earn gold trophies during the Grand Prix modes.)
You can either play against a person, or cooperate with that person as you can do that in Co-Op mode where one player will drive while the other player will do turbo boosts and throw items unto their enemies, and vice versa since you can switch places.
There is LAN mode as well, but since there aren't any people playing games online or LAN on the Gamecube, there isn't much to talk about the LAN mode, except you can play with other TVs (2 or more) against other players.
Mario Kart DD is yet another fun Gamecube game to play on that system, and if you want more Mario Kart action, play Mario Kart DS for more enjoyment in the Mario Kart Universe.
