Though somewhat short, the game still delivers a fun racing experience, especially when you have friends over.
MK:DD offers a variety of fun and challenging tracks, along with a good variety of characters and vehicles. It will offer up hours of fun, especially if you have a couple friends over to compete against.
The that differentiates DD from other Mario Karts is the ability to double up with a partner on a single vehicle with one character controlling the kart while the other carefully chooses and takes out other racers at his/her disposal. This can be extremely fun for four people playing duel screen cooperative.
The single player will provide some fun gameplay, but it is also where the game falls a bit short...literally. When the game ended, I remember saying to myself, "What? Seriously?". If Nintendo had put a bit more time and effort into lengthening the game and adding substance, this game would have gotten a higher rating.
Despite this slight fallback, MK:DD is still a great game and if you've got the money, go ahead and buy it. It will be sure to provide at least a couple hours fun during any ackward moments.
