Does not even come close to the N64 version...

It is racing...It is battling... it is battle racing. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is an good racing game that not only includes racing but battles too, just like the Mario Kart for N64. The game play is pretty good and fun at times. While you are trying to win the race you also pick up things that you can throw at other racers to try and keep them from winning. The graphics are good point of this game. The animations are good and commical but not as good as the one for N64 . The sound is another ok part of this game. The sound of the cars and the players are ok. The sound of a shell smashing a car and them flipping over is better then the cars but not the greatest. The value is the good part of this game. The multiplayer is pretty good and will keep you and your friends busy form time to time. This game is an ok game and does not compare to the N64 version. If you are a big Mario fan rent it and then make your decision on that.
