Mario Party was a big revolution in Multiplayer games while Mario Party 2 just improved the formula and brought new kinds of Mini-Games, better boards, Items and of course, lots of fun.

In Mario Party 2 you will have the same goal as in the first one, your objective is to walk around a board and go after the stars the one who gets the most stars win.

Technichally the game is not impresive average Graphics, nice music but nothing that needs to be remarked. And the Solo Mode is the same from its prior version, you need to win Mini-Games and get to the end of an Adventure.

Hudson developed lots of Mini-Games that are actually much better then the ones you found in Mario Party and made some new versions of old ones like Slot Car Derby, Bumper Balls and Skateboard Scamp. Some of the new Mini-Games have more then one kind of stages, Slot Car Derby for example, now has 3 kinds of courses.

Now you can develop different strategies in order to get to the star by using lots of Items, from a Mushroom that allows you to hit two Dice Blocks to a Pipe that will change your position with someone else. There are also The Magic Lamp, that will take you straight to the star, Boo's Bell that will call Boo to steal your friends Stars or coins, and some more items.

Besides the classic Free-For-All, 2 VS 2 and 3 VS 1 Mini-Games now there are the marvelous Battle, Item and Duel Mini-Games. Battle Mini-Games will happen when someone lands on a specific space and it will get from 10 to 50 coins from each player to be the prize. In Duel Mini-Games you can bet your coins or stars with your foes and on Item-Mini-Games you get Items!! (Wow) Unfortunately, Duel and Item Mini-Games are related to the board you are playing, so there is only one kind of game per board.

There are 6 boards which one with its theme, and according to the board you choose the characters will use costumes which are rally nice.

Mario Party sure was a awesome game and with all of this being added there is no way Mario Party 2 won't become a classic.
