Mario Party 4 is one of the best of the Mario Party series,and is very fun to play with friendslooking to have fun.The game play is fun. This game ultimately has two parts to it. Half of the game is played as if you are a game piece on a gameboard, where you roll a dice which determines how many spaces you move. Within this life- size game board you will find, shops, places to get coins, and the ever-popular stars, which are collected to win the game. Also, you will enter into a mini game after the last person has rolled the die. The mini games are varied from 1 vs. 3, 2 vs. 2 and free-for-alls. There are a lot of different mini games, from racing, to swimming, to mountain climbing. You can also select mini game mode, where you only play mini games, and no game board is utilized. As expected, you get to be all your favorite Nintendo characters in this game, like Mario, Luigi and Donkey Kong. The graphics aren't bad in this game, nothing is really defined, but you can easily make out the characters, numbers on the die, ect. The gameplay being unlike any other, In Mario Party 4, the graphics do not play a big role, but are pretty good. To tell you the truth you will never pay any attention to the sound in this game, it is not a big element in the game at all, you could turn your television on mute, and play the game all the same. There are the occasional voice-overs, like when you hear Luigi screaming and such. And yes, you do get to hear everyone's favorite video game character, Mario, talk every now and then in his classic voice. Mario Party 4 is a good game with some noticeable flaws but still, it is fun all the same. There is not much of a story to it, I'm sure not everyone will enjoy it, but if you like the first 3 Mario Party's I recommend this game. Another reason I would reccommend this game is if you love playing multiplayer with your friends this game is great for that.
