Good start for future GameCube Mario Party games.

Mario Party 4 is the debut Mario Party game for the GameCube and for a first try, I think they did a good job with it. The Mario Party franchise has been here for quite a while now, but this is the first game to have an almost complete face lift. So you basically play in the...wait for it...the Party CUBE. The basic story is...wait, does this game even HAVE a story? No, didn't think so. Let's see, what's new? Well, there are some new items, most notably the Mega and Mini Mushroom. The Mega Mushroom let's you steal coins from other players by stomping on them, while the Mini Mushroom let's you fit through small pipes and allows you to play "Mini Mini Games". Another new thing is the lottery. Each time you go to a lottery for the first time, you get a lottery ticket, which allows you to participate in a lottery for a star at the last five turns.
The graphics have had the biggest change yet. The characters look much more detailed and the boards are much larger and look great and are more "deep". The sound has mostly been redesigned and for the most part, it's good, but the coin sound is the same.
You should check this game out if you like board games or party games.
