A Slumber Party
A decent sequel to an aging franchise. It will probably sell like hotcakes. But the only people that should truly be interested in it are those dedicated to multiplayer parties. Everybody else can either make due with last year's version or avoid the series altogether.
Presentation
Poorly executed storyline with lacking animation and voice work. Nicely done cruise ship interace. Speedy load times. Decent selection of characters 6/10
Graphics
Adequate, but far from exceptional. Basic models void of detailed animation. Primary colors. Good variation in game worlds and mini-games. 7/10
Sound
Fitting, if slightly generic music. Repetitive one-liners 6/10
Gameplay
Fun, but showing its age. Plays like every other Mario Party game. Solid multiplayer experience. Disappointing single-player one 7.5/10
Lasting Appeal
Up to eight players can go at it alternating controllers. Six new game worlds and 86 mini-games to keep everyone busy 8.5/10
Overall: 8/10
My Verdict: Rent It First :)
