Not a perfect Mario Party, but defitnitely a good Mario Party

User Rating: 9.4 | Mario Party 7 GC
This is the seventh Mario Party made by Nintendo and Hudson. Some people think there are too many and some think who cares, the more the better. Right, the more the better. I wouldnt say that this Party is better than 6 but there are some cool things in this game and really fun minigames. There are 6 different modes-Party Cruise, Solo Cruise, Deluxe Cruise, Minigame Cruise, Duty Free Shop, and Control Room. In this game Mario and friends are invitied by Toadsworth to go on a cruise. Bowser wasnt invitied so he is really mad, and he causes even more problems in this game. His minigames seem harder, he now has one player games, he has a Bowser meter in Party Cruise which when it fills up he comes and wrecks your Party somehow. In Party Cruise, Party Mode, you have to collect stars to win. There are 6 levels and there are different ways to get the stars in each level. In Solo Cruise, it is different. You have to complete a different mission on each level to win. You can also play with a friend instead of a CPU. In Deluxe Cruise you can play all of the eight player games or do a tournament. In this mode you can have CPU's on your team. But if you have 5-8 players, players have to share controlllers, but it isnt hard. In Minigame Cruise, there are a couple of different things. You can play all of the minigames you unlocked, play Volcano Peril-you have to get 3, 5, or 7 wins (your choice) in any type of minigame. In Waterfall Battle you have to get three victories in a row to win. You play duel games and losers can make comebacks. Pearl Hunt is a game where you play four player games and when you win a minigame you get to choose a pearl if you win. When you get three pearls with your face you win. Sounds easy right? Well if you choose one of your foes pearls they will know where there's is. There are items under pearls too. A whirlpool mixes the pearls up, the unchosen ones. A bob-omb reveals the what the pearls around it hold. A mushroom lets you choose again and a super mushroom lets you choose two. The Decathlon castle in unlocked when you get all of the minigames in it. You play 5 or 10 minigames and get points for how well you do. In the King of the River mode you play minigames and get points for certain stuff. I only played Easy Mode. In Duty Free Shop you buy unlockables. You pay with mileage points that you get when you play any mode, you get the most by playing Solo. In the Control Room you can change the settings. The minigames are really fun and for some reason remind me of older Mario Parties. The characters are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Toad, Toadette, Boo. Koopa Kid works for Bowser again and DK is still a space, but there is two new characters-Birdo and Dry Bones. Instead of stupid miracle pages there is now suverniors (dont know how to spell it) that you can buy. This a Mario Party worth owning even though it is not as good as MP6.
