Yes, it is the seventh Mario Party game, but it also offers plenty of new mini-games and boards to party on. 7 offers the best graphics the series has seen plus several new modes, including an 8 player share a controller mode. 2 new characters are added, even though you loose Koopa Kid as a playable character, and are fun to use. Orbs that are exclusive to each character are another new touch that doesn't change the game much, but it does add something that hasn't been done before in this series. Gone is the day and night cycle of Mario Party 6, which was pretty cool, but the GameCube Mic returns in several new mic games. No, Mario Party 7 isn't much different from the other ones, but if you enjoyed the last six, you will enjoy this one.
