Mario Party 7 delivers a nice set of new mini games, and a well working microphone... What's not to like?

User Rating: 7.7 | Mario Party 7 GC
Well, Mario Party 7 has arrived, being the latest in the series. This game has the microphone again, but this time it works better. The sounds projected through work very well, and one can play mic mini games for hours, using this great tool. Party Mode, has six new places, some are totally unique, while others seemed too much the same to the stages in the previous Mario Party games. the main thing that I liked about this game, is the new mini games they threw in. There are many to play, most of which are fun, and some are so fun, you can spend an hour just playing the same single mini game. Bowser mini games are very fun in this game, especially the miltiplayer ones. I had a good time completing those, and unlocking them. Sadly, Donkey Kong isn't back, they still use the DK space, but hey... DK mini games in this Mario Party are somewhat addicting. There are some new capsules to add to the game, and they are all fun to activate and hurl on spaces. Also, there are two new playable characters to the game: Birdo and Dry Bones. They take some time to unlock, but it's worth it, Nintendo made a good selection of the two new characters. Although you may be eager to get new players, they are just the same as any old character you use in the first place... There are two things that I haven't been liking about the new Mario Party games. One is the Dk space, and DK is no longer selectable, and two is the capsules... I wish they sold items like they used to, for some reason, I liked that a whole lot better. Overall, Mario Party 7 has some great new features, but the fun doesn't last for the longest time... But hey, I liked it more than 6. Hopefully we will witness some major improvements to all Mario Party games when Mario Party is featured on the Nintendo Wii.
