Mario Party is a great stand-alone title; even better with friends; but one thing keeps it from being amazing. Bring friends. Seriously, bring friends. If you don't than you won't have the maximum experience, you'll get a good portion but not the whole deal. First things first, the boards and the mini-games are (for the most part) enjoyable. Yeah, their are a few that I groan and complain at; but who gives a damn? We all have to do things we don't want to do from time to time. The characters are your typical Nintendo characters as you would expect Mario, Luigi, Wario, Princess Peach, etc. The objective of Mario Party is to be the one with the highest amount of coins or stars, or both. It's actually a pretty entertaining game, that will keep your eyes glued to the screen for a couple hours; if you're playing alone. With friends, this is a whole entirely different story. Wanting to hear what the one thing that keeps it from being amazing? Okay, you wanted it, it's the lack of content. Yep, there is a lack of boards and a small amount of mini-games. This bothers me. I have a sense of deja-vu every time I play a round of Mario Party. If Mario Party 2 can do this, I'll give it an even higher score.
