Mario Power Tennis is a grand piece of the admired Mario sports series however, it is not my most desired one…

Intro: Mario Power Tennis, in a few word summary is: An enjoyable game to behold that should not be missed by Mario sports fans… But as any game, I, as well as many people have their arguments… Let’s start this off with the downsides, and then the good-sides of this game.
The Bad: In my pretty well judged opinion, I have quite a few statements to make that you may not personally agree on, but that’s fine, these downsides are based on only my opinion. In fact, if you are obsessed with this game, which may be logical, I recommend skipping this part and heading right on to The Good, as it does have some great qualities! For starters, I didn’t like some of the Special Saves executed in the game. I know, it shows some of the creativity bestowed upon the unique style of Mario sports, however, at times it is just plain ridiculous. For example, when going for the ball, at times pressing the buttons or button required for the save may not activate in time. Also, very occasionally, you may find your player using the long distance save and not being capable of hitting the ball over. It is aggravating. That is on the offensive part, but even on the defensive, players on the other team executing these moves may be really tormenting. I mean, at times you will use some great smack, and then the other team will return it and score. I understand that that’s the point of the Special Saves: to make the game longer and more of a challenge however, it just doesn’t work out for me. Next comes the game play. Well, where downsides come, at times tournaments may be way too easy and boring, due to length, but there are other times where things seem impossible. I agree that it is fun to have challenges, but sometimes the players on the other team aren’t so great, but very lucky. I entered a tough tournament, and the opponents got special saves every two or three hits. Despite that, Tournaments are okay with me. That covers up the bad sides, with maybe a few annoyances with boring optional game modes… Now for the good qualities.
The Good: Okay, here is my observations in which the game is fun… To start, there are a great variety of Mario cast, especially for a tennis game. There are also many secret players as well as unlockables. The music is great and goes well with the courts, and the sound of the characters and the other noises seem fairly realistic. The game is fun, I spent well over 15 hours playing against friends and family. I like the multiplayer the best, it is always fun to play a friend. Tournaments are also okay, for the most part. There are numerous ones, and you may actually start to have a hard time winning, in the later tournament matches. There are other bonus game modes, of which are all fairly decent… I had a good time trying to beat the optional challenges thrown at me. As an overall wrap up, I liked this game, and I am sure you will find it to be pretty enjoyable for the most part. That’s my wrap up, and enjoy if you ever think about purchasing the game. I hope my review gave you some ideas!
