Although this game is average, it is one of the still better side scrollers on the Super Nintendo, for better or worse.

Marvel sure has a history in video gaming franchises. Most of their games are good looking and bad playing games, but they have their rare jewels in video games. This is considered a jewel, although I think it is another average game.
Granted, Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems is ok. They have much worse games (especially in their Spider Man franchise) but in this game, spider man has something he can be somewhat proud of. There are some problems with gameplay, like annoying controls, hard as hell levels, and sub-par sounds. However, it is still playable, and is easily the better of their games.

+Suberb graphics with little break up.
+Marvel pattened sounds and music.
+Pick up and play game.
+Story line isn't half bad.
- Music and SoundFX is somewhat weak.
- Slow down harms gameplay.
- Pick up and play, then let the dust collect away.
- Skewed difficulty.

Overall: 5.9/10
Not bad, and one of the better Marvel games, but you have to rent this.
