Boring, But Has Its Entertaining Aspects
Let me go through some of the aspects of the game:
GRAPHICS:
Not The Greatest, But If You Know About Animation, Level Design, And Character Develpoment (With Programs Such As Maya, and 3Ds Max), Its Understandable, and with the wide varity of levels and huge environments, you can understand why the graphics arent at thier greatest...
SOUND:
The game has enjoyable sound. Some of the effects might have been lame or used too often, but the character voices were done great.

GAMEPLAY:
The Game Is Straight Forward. Nothing Really Big Like Passwords To Unlock Doors Or Anything. Almost anything and everything you do is part of the story, except for the secret characters, and the comic missions...
Other than that, most of the levels were just too long and seemed to drag on forever. I personally played this once and never wanted to touch it again. The key thing to note is that this game will get boring if you play through it alone, which is what i did. If you play with a party of friends, it becomes much more enjoyable, because the AI can be VERY stupid sometimes, and you can keep eachother sane through the long tedious missions.
As For Characters, it was a great thing to provide such a wide variety of characters, and with all the other aspects such as costumes, and upgrading abilities, it made the game a bit more enjoyable.
Some Lag, Not That Great For PS2, But Hey The Long Missions Made Up For That 10 Second Wait...
The Cutscenes Were Entertaining, With Wolverine And Spider-Man Being Smartasses through them all.
Some Of the Story didnt make sense, and some of the characters were only known to die-hard marvel fans (dum dum dugen?, or maybe i just havent read enough comics in my life)
CONCLUSION:
So To End Off My Long Rant About This Game, I Can Only Give It A 6.5. As stated above, game drags on way too long, the missions occasionally became boring after 20 minutes of walking around trying to accomplish one objective, and the graphics didnt help either. The sound was fun, but catchphrases were cheesy (some even worse than duke nukems')
