This re-release isn't perfect, but the game within is the best fighter ever made.
Graphics:
Good when it came out.
Sound:
The menu song is a riot (I'm gonna take you for a RIIIIIIIDDEEEEE!!!!) and most of the effects are pretty good...but the speech can be a pain ("ticklefight!!!" Yeah, go felicia!!!)
Gameplay:
MvC2 is not a hardcore fighter at all, and that is it's greatest strength. Pick 3 characters and go to town. Button mashing will get you pretty far, but as you get further, you need to learn the combos, and most of them are pretty easy. Simply twist the control stick and hit a button (or two for the uber combos). Each combo has multiple versions and they are all easy to pull off, while basic combos basically consist of hitting the lP button twice and following it with the hP button. There's more complexity to it with Air Combos and the support buttons, but it really doesn't take that long to become competitive and almost no time at all to have fun. If you like fighting games at all, or even if you don't, you will like MvC2. Only the hardcore may be disappointed with this game, and well, who cares about them?
