A lack of characters and yet it's still amazing!

Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is a great game, fun, colorful, vibrant, and fast paced. There are small things that kind of set the game back for myself. I'm a big fan of the series and this game has been 14 years in the making. I like most people have a couple of issues with this game. First and foremost, the number of characters is ridiculously low for the price we have to pay! 36, plus the 2 downloadable ones does not make $70! The last game had 56 characters and we paid around $40, now we are being cheated with this price for the new game. At least the hardcore gamers who have been with you since the first game feel cheated. You passed on some major key players in the series for second rate characters. On the Marvel side we have Hulk, so why do we need She-Hulk? Then you chose characters that people do not know. On the Capcom side you really took a lot away from us. Some of our favorite heroes, are replaced for characters that should be no where near this game. To many goofy characters, Amaterasu, Arthur, and Viewtiful Joe. They are not bad characters, just bad for this game they aren't serious, they feel tacked on or rather, they are the equivalent to Serve Bots. Now I understand quality over quantity, but you can't say that, then keep releasing characters and expect us to keep paying $5 a character! We would have waited for them to be put in the game and gladly paid the $60. You will keep making money if you keep putting new characters out on the market, but it's just not fair to have made half a game and released it to us hoping to fill your pockets by selling us individual characters at five bucks a pop. For the fans that have been around since day one, it hurts us, and you're going to turn a great series into a joke. We are the fans, the ones who have been hoping for 12 years, and backing you for 12 years, that you would make an amazing game with tons of characters, we got half of what we expected. The newest technology and most hardcore of systems should be able to hold more characters than a dead system, for some reason we got less. I have a feeling we wont get more either, unless we keep paying. I love this game I really do but the fact that took some serious key plays away, pushes me from totally being all about this game. It's Marvel Vs Capcom, so no matter what I will play it, and so will the fans. Characters aside, this game goes back to what makes the series fun. Backgrounds that are amazing, the level of detail is nice, and the engine they used is great. The fighting system is a bit easier than the other 2 games, or rather any of the Vs games. So for people who have been playing fighting games for a while it's going to seem super easy, for people who have never played a fighting game this game is a nice place to start. The combos are fun and feel relaxed, you can button mash in this game, but you can loose big time with it. There is a level of easiness to the game that kind of borders on fun, and at the same time boring. This game is very much worth buying, I bought the normal game then decided I wanted the limited edition and got it. I really enjoy this game and if you are a fan of fighting games you owe it to yourself to play this. The only downside is lack of characters, and the price behind a game with such few characters hurts it a little. Other than that, simply amazing! Check it out!
