One of the few games I can say that kept their old style but showed off their new polished looks.

After 11 years of getting jams and remixes of the same old can of haduken and drill claw on various platforms, we finally got ourselves a new recipe of vibrant colors with beautiful frame rates and sounds of the new Marvel Vs Capcom game. This sequel to the classic fighter aspires to maintain an old style of gameplay and look while modernizing itself and placing the bar for other fighters. In doing so it is by far one of the best looking fighters of the 21st century. The beauty of watching your favorite characters clash in a colorful and beautiful 1080p resolution will blow the color out of your eye sockets and vice versa! The game lives up to its predecessors in being the same action packed fighter that we all know and love and a few new features and characters placed for your liking.

Capcom provides its players with a beautiful new game that will have you glued to your television for hours. The new Marvel Vs Capcom provides players with a pretty large variety of characters all with very unique styles of fighting. Some characters are made for beginners while some are made for the much more experienced MvC players out there. * However some of the veteran MvC players will find themselves to be disappointed with a few characters that were left out. To make up for it Capcom granted past players their wishes and added some new characters like the crazy comic Dead Pool or the evil ex member of S.T.A.R.S. Albert Wesker. The character voices are excellent and their personalities and habits are to die for! Capcom did another excellent job of showing the body language of each that varies from stiff strong to energetic nuts. In the end new and old players will find themselves to be very satisfied with the characters and their personalities.

The games sounds are another wonderful job of the games music and environment. The background music does an excellent work of setting the mood for each fight. Whether its a casual fight with a friend or a fight that looks like all the odds are against you.*The stages lack in interaction though which is always a cool thing to have in most fighters. Although the stages lack in interaction Capcom makes up for it by having some very flashy and awesome animations in the background while your are delivering blows with your opponent. Sometimes you will find yourself humming along with the arcade like songs which can get stuck in your head at times.

The new thing that I was waiting to see was how MvC was going to work outside of the arcade. Capcom accomplished a very fluid combat mechanic on the offline but the real test was if they would be able to maintain this on the online as well, and I am happy to say that they did. Playing online was no different then playing 1v1 offline. *The only downside the online had was that Capcom failed in providing a very active waiting area. Players can't spectate fights and instead just wait in line to play the winner while watching the meters deplete. One of the few things that I disliked about the arcade booths. Regardless of that the gameplay stays the same and fresh online like in offline.

Capcom provides us with countless hours of fresh and clean gameplay with very equally balanced characters. That of course is not to say you aren't going to find those cheap repeated button maneuver players that you are going to find online. The game is basically made for everyone to the hardcore games, to the button mashers, and even those who actually want to learn how to play the game like myself. If you want countless of hours of non stop action and fun with a nice splash of freshness then the fighter you are looking for is MvC. Whether your new or you've been playing since the beginning you are going to enjoy the hours you spend on Marvel Vs Capcom 3.
