A Spider-Man game has such potential to be a fun experience that I don't know why I didn't consider playing it before.
Personally it matched the exact expectations I had, no matter how many hours I played it still feels so satisfying to swing around New York city, somehow it gives you a sense of freedom and a secret desire that you could also do the same in real life.
Contrary to other modern Adventure / RPG games, the secondary missions and quests did felt like fun, although the criminal activities are a bit repetitive since most, the other activities rely on just swinging around areas and interact with the environment, it continues to be fun for a long time.
The story is also pretty engaging overall, it's interesting to see all of these familiar villains connected to a central plot line, although it feels a bit exaggerated at times and I would argue that the balance between the light mood of Spider-Man vs how dark the events of the game are wasn't the best at times and made me a bit disconnected emotionally to the characters, but again the mechanics and the gameplay are so satisfying that you kind of let go of those details and just enjoy the ride!
