Normandy Crash Site takes you to the planet where the first Normandy crashed. You are there on a mission to place a memorial to honour the fallen crew of the Normandy. While exploring this small peaceful planet alone, without any of your squad mates, you have also been asked to recover any sign of the 20 missing crew members of the SSV Normandy. In this case, you will have to look for 20 dog tags. Exploring the planet Alchera, in nearly complete silence, all alone, seeing various parts of the ship's wreckage and recovering various data proves to be an emotional experience for those who have played and completed the first game from the Mass Effect trilogy.
Even though there is no breath-taking action or any combat at all involved in this DLC for Mass Effect 2, it's still worth downloading and playing because it is free and it is nearly a must for those who have completed ME1. Now it all sounds great but sadly, it really isn't. That's because just like the 2 other free DLCs for Mass Effect 2 (Firewalker and The Price of Revenge) it lacks content and replayability. If you want an hour or a half of a memorable moment, then download ME2: Normandy Crash Site but if you think it might be a waste of time, then don't.
