Bioware sets a brave new mission for Commander Shepard & Co: to boldly complete Mass Effect 2

User Rating: 10 | Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker PC
So, yes I'm a mass(ive) Mass Effect fan and yes I bought two copies of the original game when it first came out (one standard edition for play and one collector's edition for...collecting). Played the game numerous times but there was always something lacking, a piece of the oh-so-important storydriven narrative which is the hallmark of both Bioware and the Mass Effect-series. That was a blue piece. Now that piece has fallen in to place with enough force to resound beyond the Omeg 4 relay, to the very core of the Reapers.

You will complete the DLC in a couple of hours but the two main areas are the best that ME2 has yet offered, atmosphere is litterally blowing around your head as you traverse the battered hull of the Shadow Broker's ship in stationary otbit. The section is reminiscent of the last level of ME1 when you vertically ascend the Citadel but inifinately more gorgeous.

This is a wonderful piece of DLC, best I've ever got and it completes Mass Effect 2 in the perfect way. With this installed Mass Effect transcends the scope of its nature and establishes a new standard. Hats are tipping for Bioware the world over.
