A fitting end to the saga

When I first downloaded ME3, I had a pretty good idea how this was going to end, and I was dead on. I'm not going to spoil the ending for those who haven't played it yet, but if you've played the first two games, it didn't take long to realize what the theme of this series was. As for the actual gameplay, it was very good. I'm not usually a fan of 3rd person viewpoints, but it worked very well here, as did the cover system. The only complaint I have with it is that sometimes in cover, you couldn't get the proper angle on target without moving to completely new cover. That made for a couple of restarts due to being exposed. Squad AI in this game was probably the best yet, and except for a few ending battles, I rarely had to revive my squadmates. I made extensive use of the targeting command, especially against Banshees and Atlases. Make sure to choose squadmates that fill gaps in your own skills. Since I played as an adept, I used James and EDI a lot while rarely using Liara. The graphics and sound were top notch, although there were a few glitches with people walking through solid objects. The sound was rich and effective and since it annoyed my wife a lot, it must've been dead on. I was genuinely sad to finish this game as this trilogy provided me with a great deal of enjoyment. The very fact that it elicited such an emotional response is indicative of the quality of the writing in this game (and series). I only hope that BioWare finds some way to continue the adventures in this universe. The only reason this game didn't get a 10 from me is that there were a few crashes and some glitches where persons of interest showed up on the map even after you talked to them.
