Mass Effect was a thrilling and exhilarating journey. I loved it and i will definately play it one or two more times. Mass Effect 2 is almost out so i am just in time. This game totally got me excited for the second one. It's just like Fallout 3 except in space. The game reminds me of Star Wars, while some may not like Star Wars, listen to this, it's a far better version of Star Wars. A more mature, intense action-packed, interesting, romantic version. If you're the kind of people that love to take their time playing a game, then this is the game for you. There are so many side quests to complete and places to discover. It's a whole galaxy to travel through. Without any sidequests or discovering, the game will take about around 11 or 12 hours if you're playing on the easier difficulty. The first time, i stormed through the game so i can finally not worry about any spoilers about the ending or anything on the internet but now i know so the next time i play, i'll take my time and try to get everything done. That will take at least 30 hours to complete. There is no multiplayer, although there is still replayability possible in this game. You only get 4 weapons in the game, but you can still upgrade them. But i mean, come on, only 4 weapons in such an awesome game. Hopefully, they're put more weapons in the next one (alot more). There is a variety of different species that can be found in this game. Also, whenever there's a cutscene there will be a cycle meter thingy that pops up to let you choose what you want to tell the person that you're talking to which is pretty awesome. You can take the evil path throughout the game or the good path. So there are plenty of ways to finish the game. Everytime you play the game, something different will occur as long as you don't choose the one you selected on your first playthrough. That means that you'll have to play a dozen of times to experience everything. The story is great and appealing and it grabs your attention and you're at the edge of your seat the entire time. There is also a sex scene in the game, but the only way for that to happen is if you talk to the ladies on the ship a lot and at the very end, you get to choose who you really love and want to have sex with. The environment is incredible. Every planet you travel to will look different. You can also make yourself look however you want yourself in the game to look like. You can choose what class you want to be and it's a great RPG. Problems i ran into though was that there a lot of slight pauses whenever i was playing. Shepherd is walking or running and the game pauses (or freezes) for a couple of seconds and then continues. That got real annoying for me. Also, the elevator sequences are too long and get annoying cuz there are lots of them. Hopefully, they change that in Mass Effect 2. Besides that, Mass Effect is a legendary game. Well Go out and buy it. If you rent it, you won't have enough time to complete everything. So, it's a game to buy.
