A fun and surprisingly varied bit of DLC, with a price that can't be beat. (It's free)
As far as the story goes, I don't want to give to much away, but lets just say it has to do with an alien race, that's hardly even mentioned in ME1. The gameplay is fun as usual, but don't expect to escape from ME1's usual bugs. Although much of the game takes place in the same old warehouse/research buildings from the rest of the ME1, there is one new building near the end of the campaign, that actually looks pretty cool. Overall, BDtS looks better than your average ME1 side mission. The "planet" ;-) you drive the Mako around on provides some pretty cool views of falling astroids, planets and stars. Even the recycled warehouses have objects added and rearranged, not to mention some cool lighting effects they previously lacked. There are numerous other little touches that give BDtS it's personality, but I don't wan't to spoil it all for you. In the end, I'm very happy with BDtS. I would've gladly plunked down an Abe or two for the experience. Sure, the story could be more in-depth, and the environments could stand to be more varied. But on the whole, the game was engaging and fun. If your a ME fan (or at least a ME1 fan) you should download BDtS without delay. You won't regret it. And even if you do, it's not like you payed for it.
