Despite some technical flaws, no one should miss out on this amazing game!

User Rating: 9.5 | Mass Effect X360
"Mass Effect" is the first of a trilogy of Role-Playing games by developer Bioware, it's the beginning of a legend.

"Mass Effect throws you into the shoes of Commander Shepard, the protagonist in which you can customize his/her appearance to your liking. A rogue spectre, named Saren, is going to revive an ancient evil known as the Reapers. He's going to revive the Reapers to destroy all organic life in the Galaxy, and it's up to you and your crew to stop him.

The Role-Playing and level up system is fantastic, as for the combat though, completely different story. Leveling up and upgrading your abilities is addicting as ever. There's also a conversation system for when you talk to in-game characters. You have a few options during conversations, you can be a nice guy, a somewhat serious guy, or a complete jerk. It's up to the player.

The combat in the game can be annoying sometimes, for example, when the game lags when many enemies are on the screen at the same time, or when there's a bunch of action on screen, primarily explosions. Another thing I found quite irritating, are the pointless elevator rides. It makes sense to take elevators to specific places of course, but you have to sit through the entire ride, and it's insanely slow. The final thing that gets under my skin in this game, are the levels where you have to drive the Mako around. Sweet Jesus, the driving was TERRIBLE in this game.

With all the irritating flaws put aside, "Mass Effect" is an incredible game. It tells a great story, you feel like you're involved with the war, and there's tons to do, giving you about 20+ hours of content to enjoy.
