Not as bad as the critics say.

User Rating: 8.8 | Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne PS2
Look, the game is not brand new technology but it plays pretty well. This was the 1st, 1st person shooter game I bought for the PS2. My last FPS was the NOLF series on PC, it is not nearly as good as that series but is full of entertaining levels, characters and gameplay. This was the best reproduction of a construction site, ever. I finished the game in less than a week playing for a couple of hours a night. I would expect newer releases to take me a little longer. I wish there might have been more options instead of running the mouse through the maze type routing throughout the game. I would also have appreciated more thinking / puzzle solving than that (see NOLF or Tomb Raider style). I just realized I must dig chicks shooting guns since I preferred playing as Mona over playing as Max. All-in-all it was enjoyable but I am ready to graduate to some cooler technology.
