I'm not sure why Max Payne 2 didn't get better reviews, and I don't want to trudge though the gamespot review again to remember why, but that's beside the point. MP2 is an awesome game.

The dark ambience makes for a really cool gaming atmosphere. Everything from the story and presentation to the graphics and music contribute to the game's head first plunge into Max's own personal hell.

Gameplay is tight and bullet time is back and just as solid as it was in the first Max Payne game. This is where the game really excels. Dumping entire clips into a group of emies in super slow motion never gets old. Ever.

Sound is okay but some of the guns sound a little weak.

Graphics are on par for an XBOX game.

Value is decent but not great as it doesn't have alot of replay appeal.

Overall, Max Payne 2 deserves more becuase of it's fun factor and unique film noir presentation and story line. If you liked Max Payne, you should definitely try Max Payne 2.
