Although quite short, this intense shooter more than makes up for it with it's phenomenal story.

If you played the first Max Payne, you know that this game will have a great story and action packed game play. And that is an understatement for this game. The beginning of the game, they throw you into another drama filled tale filled with love, death and deceit involving Mr. Payne and his lady friend Mona. Max is still his metaphorical,bitter and monotone self. We follow him into a journey featuring a new enemy, The Cleaners. They are trying to kill Max and Mona. Advancing further in the game you will meet up with old friends such as Vladimir. Playing through this, you will easily fall in love with this story. I won't elaborate much so I won't ruin it for anyone.

Game play is almost perfectly similar from the first one. Bullet time is still an important factor to help you survive the intense gun fights. The graphics are a great improvement from the first one, and they also help with the animated cut scenes to help show more expression on Max's battle scared face.

The voice acting is pretty amazing. Some corny parts, but just like the first, there are of course going to be some. But it doesn't hinder the story at all.

In short, the game is one of the best action games you can get in my opinion. The story will easily drag you in and get you hooked. The game play is great if you love action/shooters. And the graphics are actually really good for a game released in 2003. In short. If you have a 360 or an old X-box sitting around, pick this up. You won't regret it.
