Max Payne is a superb game. A must own for fans of shooting and action. The game starts out as Max Payne, a cop comes home to find that his house has been broken into and his wife and baby have been murdered. Max Payne tells the story in a comic book sort of way. Instead of using cut scenes, it has comic book style. I would have prefered cut scenes because I didn't really like these still comic book pictures. There are many weapons on that Max Payne can use. First theres the basics. Lead pipes and baseball bats then theres guns. From small pistols called Berettas to pumped action shotguns and smoke grenades. One of the brilliant things to the game is Bullet time mode. You can go into slow motion and see the bullets zooming past you. You can dive aswell to dodge these bullets. Bullet time mode is a totally new thing and is pretty impressive. On the game, people have slightly square looking heads and Max Payne always has the same smurk on his face. When Max shoots with his guns his expression changes abit but not that much. His face might look the same all the time but theres definently detail in the face. You can even see wrinkles and lines on his face if you look closely. If you want to see this kind of detail then you should walk right up to a wall with Max's face looking at the wall then pause it. The camera will rotate around him and it will close in on his really close. Here you can see his silly expression and detail on his face. The sound is very good. The voice actors are very good. The guns shots sound really loud especially the shotguns sounds. There are no real flaws to the sound on Max Payne. The game is quite long and should take you abit of time to complete. Unfortunatley there's no multiplayer. Overall Max Payne is a fun game which has thrilling shootouts. The bullet time mode is really cool and is the main feature to this great game.
