The game that introduced us to "Bullet Time," and redefined a whole genre. The third person action genre was never the same after Max Payne was released. This game is highly intense and full of action. The storyline is what moves the narrative in such an emotionally charged way. Max's story is a tale of pain, loss, redemption, and retribution. Once you start playing, you'll have a hard time putting it down. Yeah, it's that addictive. The only down side to this otherwise great game, would be those annoying puzzle and maze sequences. Whenever Max falls asleep, he has these flashbacks, that are as pointless as they are traumatic. Either way it goes, if you don't own this game, go out and buy it.
