User Rating: 8.8 | MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf (Limited Edition) XBOX
Mechassault 2 : Lone Wolf is the sequel to one of the games that helped launch Xbox-Live back in 2002, and this is a great example of what a mech game should be. There is a pretty good single player campaign in this game, although not lasting very long ,it is very fun, but does get repetitive. You control a mechwarrior with no name, you will wage battle against The Word Of Blake. When you first start the game you will be put in the Battlesuit, a human sized mech made with the cores found in the first game. There is a wide assortment of weapons to use, like pulse laser, and flamethrowers.

The gameplay is very solid, with tight controls, and a interface that doesn't take up much of the game screen. You will find a lot of fun with the missions in the game, there are some where you will go and steal other mechs, or have to help prisoned allies. The campaign only lasts for about 10-14 hours, but you will have fun for every second you play this game.

The graphics are a bit dated ( but keep in mind, this was my first Xbox title )
but I thought they were very good, I thought the textures and character model looked pretty good as well. Almost everything in this game is destructable, such as buildings and rocks, and there is no slowdown in the game, even with quite a bit of enemies on screen at once.

The sound is good, the voice acting was very good, same with the in-game music. The battle sequences also sound amazing, with the sounds of pulse laser and machine gun fire zooming past you, it is just so damn good. Although I do have one complaint about the audio, and that is how much you will hear the same sound over and over again.

The game only last about 10-14 hours ( as I said above ) but it is a very rewarding experience, after you finish the campaign, you unlock a new character model for online play. I hear that the online play is good, ( don't have Xbox-Live ) you can have clans, and there is a cool mode called conquest, where you take over planets one by one.

Overall this is a very good game, it is worth playing, and the campaign and multiplayer is top notch, and very fun. Go pick up Mechassault 2 : lone Wolf if you are a fan of the series or just love mech games.
