If you dont have xbox live, I wouldnt suggest buying this game. However, if you do have xbox live, then you have to buy this game. The first xbox live game, and definitely one of the best, Mechassault was still played heavily up until November 8. The single player on this game is somewhat dissappointing. With unclear objectives, tedious levels, and just a lack of action its really not that great. Fighting other mechs is what makes this game great, like on xbox live, and you spend most of your time in the single player shooting pathetic tanks, and running over ignorable infantry. Online mechassault, on the other hand is a blast. Its worth purchasing the service (Best money I ever spent). Between the numerous gametypes, team deathmatch being the best in my opinion, it never gets boring. Senselessly blasting the other teams mechs and gets powered up weapons is a blast. Also, the mech selection is almost too big. The lack of a level system in my opinion is a blessing to this game. It decreases cheating, and it doesnt matter if you lose. You just play, and simply, its just fun.
