The game that really set the bar for shooters!
The story isn't too interesting, but the actual gameplay of this are solid, even though they are quite dated today. There is a large arsenal of authentic world war 2 weapons to get your hands on throughout the game, very varied objectives; and great gunplay; even with fairly intelligent AI for the day (though for today the AI is quite poor!)
Medal of Honor had a lot of revolutionary features in the game that raised the bar for many aspects of the game. People reacted differently to location damage, if you shot them in the leg they would stumble; if you shot them in the groin, they crumpled realistically. You could even shoot their helmets off without killing enemies! This may be the norm for shooters today, but at the time this was well beyond anything seen in shooters. As well as this, you get the traditional medal of honor enemy death, where if an enemy is near any sort of balcony or fall of some sort, they WILL fall off it upon death, that just added comedy to the game.
If you fancy a trip down memory lane, or want to see how WWII shooters started, then I do recommend you pick this game up. Its even available on the playstation store. So long as you do not play this game with modern expectations, this game will quickly grow on you.
