New gameplay additions make this worth playing but a short campaign story and broken mulptiplayer do disappoint.

User Rating: 8 | Medal of Honor: Airborne PC
Medal of Honor: Airborne puts you in the shoes of Boyd Travers, a U.S Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne in WWII. As a paratrooper you are specially trained to drop into enemy territory with a couple of weapons and some ammo and do as much damage to the enemy as you can. The game takes you through historic battles the were important during the war such as Operation Market Garden or the day before D-Day.

GAMEPLAY---7/10
Medal of Honor: Airborne comes with some new features and innovative gameplay but falls short due to a short storyline and a mediorce multiplayer. On the bright side Medal of Honor: Airborne does have some cool aspects to it. Instead of having to be forced to start at a certain point, Airborne allows the player to start at any point on the map. When you jump out of the airplane you are allowed to manuever your parachute to wherever but make sure you flare you legs or you'll "Botch" your landing. Example: Say you want to drop in the middle of a firefight, if you botch your landing it will take significantly longer to take your eqiupment off and pull up your weapon rather than "Grease"ing your landing and have your weapons ready instantly. Also included in this package are some cool upgrades to your weapons when you've killed enough enemies. Each weapon has 3 stages, each require a certain amount of points to be given an upgrade which will be indicated as a sketch of the weapon and everytime you're given points it will fill up the weapon. Example: I can turn my Thompson sub-machine gun into a mobster Tommy gun with a drum round magazine and grip.

On the downside, the campaign story is way to short. The missions are fun but I don't want to end a game this fun in 5 hours. Luckily collectibles and having to find hidden drop points kinda make this ok.

Multiplayer in Airborne is what really lowers the rating. The game uses a match-finder system which can sometimes take 10 minutes to find a match and when I could find one I couldn't connect and when I did connect the matches weren't that fun.

GRAPHICS 8.0/10
The graphics in Airborne are great. Alot of detail put on soldiers clothing, eqiupment, and face. The problem is the detail with some of the structures. Textures seem to blend together.

SOUND 8.5/ 10
The sound for Airborne is terrific. EA Audio Mixers actually took recordings of C-47's flying through the air. Even took recordings of the seat belts and hooks sliding down the wire. Jumping out of an airplane never sounded so real.

LASTING APPEAL 8.0/10
There is no doubt that be people will be playing this for a couple more years but no more than 2 and if they did still play it would probably only be for the collectables.

SCORE 8.0/10
Medal of Honor: Airborne is a good game, but some of its problems do disappoint. I would suggest renting this for the weekend due to the fact that the fun will wear once your finished with the game.
