Airborn is a rather dissapointing addition to the series.

Well....
MOH used to be nice and addictive even though that it had a pretty much linear mission character.

This has changed in Airborn but in a bad way.

Basically, the new feature -and idea- is that you can paradrop wherever you want, and do the mission in the way you want. Yea right, thats the theoretical part. Practically, the same things will happen wherever you land and either way, you are going to end up going to the place that your objective requests.

Graphicly wise the game has a variety of problems and issues.
It uses Unreal Engine 3, so some the textures are nice and the weapons quite detailed. But, the general nice atmospehere of the graphics is ruined by techical issues and bugs. Apart from the terrible performance i had in my system (whereas in COD4 was perfect) there were tons of bugs such as missing textures, seeing the abyss if you go at the end of a map, the complete absence of a physics engine (even though in the installation of the game, you are asked to install the new AGIA software), and finally some really odd bugs that occur occasionally when a dead enemy falls in a fence or small wall, his arms or legs start to strench allong the map resulting in a tragic but at the same time hillarious result.

The campaing of the game has only 6 (?!) missions that are neither long nor short. The 2 finals are HARD and its worth mentioning that in this MOH they have added some fictional stuff as well (such as MG42 soldiers that have a boss like filling, which is rather akward in this kind of games). A fine feature is the gun upgrade system. The main idea is that new additions to your guns are unlocked once you kill a number of enemies with a particular weapon.

The AI is absolutely stupid and simple-tonic.

The only thing that is fine is the multiplayer. But still, its nothing compared to the MP of the Call of duty series.

Concluding, i would NOT reccomend this game for anyone.
Call of duty, COD 2 or World at War is a much better game if you want WW2 Experiances
