Better than the last MOH offering.. but still lacks in some departments!

MOH: Euro Assault throws a couple of great ideas into the franchise, like having big expansive levels (by the PS2's standards) which requires you to explore them if you wish to unlock all the bonus objectives, some nice icons that easily displays ammo, grenades and medkits on the battlefield. This game gives you an arch-nemesis on each level for you to take down.. it is somewhat optional but it's fun. MOH was never too realistic and this one is the most arcade-like of the series. The bosses (just like you) takes an insane amount of bullets to take down.

The 4 campaign are varied but they are extremely short. Even if you take the time to complete all the objectives, this game shouldn't take you more than 7 hrs to complete.. and that's counting the time you will have to restart since the last leg of the game is extremely hard. The graphics are average in this game, and the unsteady framerate (probably due to the big open levels) doesn't help. The sound is excellent like all MOH games.

The shooting mechanics of the game seems to be unreliable, it's hard to aim correctly and the framerate slow-downs doesn't help either. The AI is still a mess but it's not as broken as it was in Rising Sun. I still enjoyed this game because of the exploration needed to unlock some objectives and I consider this one to be better than Rising Sun but not as good as Frontlines.
