This is accually quite good and refreshing in the usuall "Run and Gun Medal of honor Games.

User Rating: 8.1 | Medal of Honor: European Assault GC
Gameplay: In Medal of Honor: European Assault it plays differently from pretty much all other games in the franchise. EA has returned from the Pacific theater with "Medal of Honor: Pasific Assualt" and is back to focusing on European action with open scenarios, likeable mechanics, deep and varied level designs. It's not a perfect game; it's got problems. But the recognizable moments of high-quality gameplay outweigh its minor insufficiencies. They have come back with the reletivly new concept of squad tatics which was first to appear in the Pasific Assualt game but it does not really make that much a diffrence. Also the enemy AI is way better and force you to think, strategize, and manage your team and weaponry. Turns out, this one is pretty darn good after all instead of it being mostly a "run and gun" game like most of the games in this series. You accually have to duck, run and take cover to avoid being hit beause the enemy has pretty good game. So anyways you play as Lieutenant William Holt, an American officer working under the OSS along with British and then-Russian field agents. You starting in French city of St. Nazaire, accually the first three missions in St. Nazaire and then you move around europe doing a whole bunch of diffrent missions. There is also a multiplayer option is back but there is no Xbox Live support for online play. The game doesn’t even support System Link so you are forced to play an up-to-four-players spit screen on the Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube

Graphics: The graphics is the only place where the game really suffers. The Guns are well modeled, and the environments look great, aswell as the explosions. But unfortunately, the character models are a bit blocky, and the facial features are just ok. Animations are just okay aswell, but nothing too special. Some textures look really good, but others are pretty bland.

Sound:The sound is really good in this department. The musical score is quite appropriate for the game and is something you'd expect to hear in a movie. It's quite poignant and moving at times, and the voiceovers and narration are also really well done and add a lot of atmosphere to the game.

Value: All in all this is a good game and not exactly the "Run and Gun" as usually that we are familer with Medal of Honor games. I recommend picking this game up for a weekend and playing. what stands out from Medal of Honor Frontline or Rising Sun is that the gameplay style is refreshingly dissimilar to the other MOH games. I give this game 8.0 out of 10
