Good level design, not repetitive. Old school style makes it hard. If you die, you have to start from the beginning ..

As with all my reviews I like to tell you the information that other reviews do not disclose.

This game is old school. By that I man you must beat a level with out dying, and if you die you must start from the beginning of the level. This makes the ending of the game extremely annoying and challenging. I hate trial and error. Some levels are pretty long, which makes them even harder. There you are kicking butt right? You are at the end of the level, you make a mistake, die, and have to start ALL over again, grrrrrrr.

Despite this, the game is still fun, while annoying at the same time.

Controls: The controls are pretty cool, although if like me you do not like the fact you have no cross hair, thus making you hold down the L1-aim button just to see where you are shooting, you might want to go into the options and turn on the cross hair. I liked this feature in the brother in arms game, because from what I can remember you could look down the barrel and run at move at the same time. In Frontline when you hold down L1-aim you cannot walk, you can only lean left, right, up, and down. This works well for the game, but it is a different feel.

There is a wide range of levels, each has a different feel, so it does not get repetitive.

The weapons are pretty cool. I did not care much for any of the machine guns, they are way underpowered and hard to kill with. The second sniper rifle was my favorite weapon. Holding 10 rounds and it shoots pretty fast.

Because of the last few levels, I would recommend buying this game, because it is hard to beat in the rental time. I can usually beat any game in the rental time; however, the last few levels of this game took far to much time. I would get so annoyed having to do the level over and over, I needed to take a break and get back to the game.

The multiplayer makes it worth owning anyways.
