This is the single greatest shooter for the Gamecube, and could be considered one of the best ever.

This has to be one of the greatest games of all time, next to Super Mario and Pac Man (well, maybe not Pac Man), but you get my point.

You play as a soldier in World War II entering combat on the beaches of Normandy. The levels are similar to the movie "Saving Private Ryan", but the storyline has nothing to do with it. The levels vary from storming beaches to eliminating anti-air, tanks, and even submarines.

The controls are a little tough to master at first, but you get the hang of them quickly. Graphics aren't good compared to Halo 3 and Gears of War, but hey, it came out in '02 for the Gamecube. This is the best Medal of Honor to date.

The multiplayer consists of split screen on maps including a train depot, and a rubble filled French town. You can choose the weapon set, map, music, kill count in the pregame menu. There is no online because it is for the Gamecube.

The AI isn't the best, but that fact is equalized by the gameplay itself. The gameplay is amazing, much better than it's sequel "Medal of Honor: Rising Sun". Your weapons are realistic to the time, including the famous M1 Garand, BAR, and Thompson Submachine Gun. Reloading times are realistically lengthy, too.

All in all, this is a must have for any Gamecube owner and WWII FPS fan. Remember, even if you think WWII shooters are played out, this game will prove you wrong.
