A very tough shooter. Ultimately could lead to you smashing your PSP on a hard surface in extreme frustration.

The game plays very well throughout with some frustratingly hard parts here and there. It's until the very end of the game do you feel the unfairness of the checkpoint system and the amount of enemies you face. To keep replaying that long and crucial scene is excruciating indeed, unless luck favors you for a while. On the good side, the occasional mortar and mounted machine gun usage breaks a little away from the monotonous hide'n'shoot, and the rank and award system at least pushes you on.

The Beginner's mode is alright though not casual at all. The last part of the last mission could still be impossible to complete without luck and skill. The Veteran mode is even more nail-biting from mission 2 onwards. I didn't even dare to try the Hero mode.

Sound is one of the classic features of the Medal of Honor series and Heroes 2 doesn't disappoint. All in all, MOH Heroes 2 is a very challenging game if not frustrating for some, and the price is a tad steep for the short campaign, so beware.
