I was suprised by Gamespots average score towards MOH Rising sun. I persobnally think that it is a thrilling WW2 game. Rising sun basically tells the story of when USA went to war with Japan. Japan sneakily put on a bomb on a boat with the US marines at pearl harbour. The game puts you straight in the action of that day. You wake up from the explosion of the bomb and must get topside of the ship. There are lots of weapons on rising sun. All of them from WW2 of course. The Thompson is a powerful gun while the Garand is a very accurate sharpshooter. There is online play on Rising sun although I've never done online play. The cooperative 2 player campain is fun and is great multiplayer. (me and my friend had lots of fun on 2 player campain) The graphics are OK. The character models are great but unfortunatley the backgrounds and environments are pretty basic. This makes the character models stick out abit more and make them look like they are in a digital environment. On rising sun the music is very up-beat. The voice overs are good. No big flaws sound-wise. Nuff said. There are only about 8 levels or something on rising sun which is too short. Thankfully the multiplayer will keep you entertained for abit if you have friends. The single player could have been made better by adding a few more levels. Overall MOH Rising sun is a great WW2 based game. The environments could have been more detailed in the interests of graphics and there should have been more levels. Not nearly enough levels as Frontline. Nevertheless, Risng sun is one of my favourite war games because simply its just plain fun.
