What a waste of $50 ($53 with tax). I had always LOVED the Medal Of Honor series but my goodness, this game DESERVES EVERY BAD REVIEW IT GETS. Right after the 1st level at Pearl Harbor (which EA SOMEHOW managed to make boring), you're suddenly on a bridge in the Phillipines. What? No story? No transition? The controls are just terrible. It seems the folks at EA just haven't heard the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". The once perfect controls of Frontline are akwardly mapped onto the Gamecube controller for Rising Sun. Shooting down "***" (hooray for racism!) planes in the 1st level is quite the chore guarenteeing you'll be regretting your purchase in no time. For the character models, they look better than they did in Frontline. Funny thing is, they don't interact with you the way they should. You'll be coming up on a character and they'll begin speaking to you before you're even close to them. Even when you come up on them, 9 times out of 10 they're not even facing you when you are looking at them. The backgrounds just look REALLY bad and very uninteresting. Blocky and uninspired. Even the video compression for the Gamecube is worse than ever. Artifacts in the video are rampant making it quite an embarrassing display. It seems that EA feels they can just throw together a very bad game with the Medal Of Honor title on it around Xmas for a quick boost of cash. Games like Call Of Duty have already made Medal Of Honor somewhat of a silly game by showing it up in terms of realism and gameplay. If EA doesn't get it together with Pacific Assault, it's time to give Medal of Honor a dishonorable discharge
