Oh great another over-hyped FPS -.-

This is a review of the PC single player section of the game only.

Warning: May contain minute spoilers.

First of all let me start off by saying that this game is like every other FPS you have played before. Why you ask, well lets look at a few things shall we...

The story had an interesting beginning and did built up a bit of steam in the middle but as with all of the new shooters today, they blew it up with a RPG, pardon the reference.Although, the small cut-scene moments showing the soldiers' softer side and old memories I did like very much. Still that wasn't merely enough. I was really feeling the story upto one point, then it was as if the bad guys just ran out of luck.
As if that was not all, the entire script specifically from that point, seemed like a copy of the movie "Act Of Valor" and a book named "NO EASY DAY". I mean I like playing the HAHO jumps and the other action sequences but does the story-line have to be copied too?
In fact the ending scene was the same as that of "Act Of Valor" . Furthermore, as you play you get the strange realization that wait a sec, I 've done this before in other games(Correction I've done EXACTLY this). I mean talk about copying, they literally just changed the names of the locations and kept everything else same.

The gun-play was nice with the realistic recoiling effect and the authentic sounds adding to the joy. Here also they made a major error in the form of providing your secondary firearm with unlimited ammo. I mean really? that's just stupid. Also how you can resupply countless times from your team-mates (though it only holds good if you have the default weapon ). Real world operators use the enemies' weapons once they have exhausted their own ammunition.
Authenticity, LOL.

Now, the gameplay. This is the one where it truly shines, whether its breaching doors or driving in Pakistan, every moment was intense, but alas it was too short.

And finally we come to the graphics. What can i say? are they nice? Depends. Some missions look gorgeous while others look absolutely terrible.Just as a point of reference my GTX 680 Twin Frozr ran this at 90-100 fps constant, so if you have good a medium end card dont sweat it, it will play at 50-60 fps albeit with a few tweaking around. But in the end you will feel as if all the hype was for nothing.

My Advice, dont play it with high expectations.
Play it like cutscene-shoot-cutscene-repeat cycle generic crap that the FPS genre has been reduced to now-a-days.

And that is exactly this game's problem, IT IS MEDIOCRE.

Sidenote: God I miss IGI, COD 1, MOH:AA with lengthy meaningful campaigns. And YES I am an old school PC gamer.
